The King’s Award for Enterprise – 2024 International Trade

November 28, 2024

The whole team at Burland were delighted to welcome a delegation led by the Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk Clare, Countess of Euston – accompanied by deputies Mark Pendlington and Peter Over and Suffolk County Council chairman Liz Harsant – was there to present a signed scroll from the King. In addition, the Burland team accepted a newly designed commemorative trophy.

This was Burland’s 4th Award, having previously been honoured by the late Queen Elizabeth for their achievements in Overseas Sales, Innovation and Sustainability. It was a great achievement to pull off this award so soon after the catastrophic Covid 19 Pandemic. Overseas sales went to Europe, Middle East, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, USA, to name a few countries.

Interesting fact: Each scroll received is signed by the Monarch and Prime Minister. Burland now have a collection of signatures from every British Tory PM since David Cameron. Only Liz Truss missed the opportunity!
